Self-assessment

What you learned this semester/year in this course? This has been very interesting for me. The class was shocking at the beginning, but throughout the day together. Have really changed the aspects of a class. In my opinion, this class was all about the will of a student and to put in there on the amount of work and show who they really are. I have learned many things like Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. on top of that, i have learned the importance of being oneself be through our journals or speaking. How hard you worked? This year I feel I didn't work as much but I believe I could have done a better job, which is a shame, to be honest, me having not giving it all when I could that is truly a pitiful thing to do. At least one great mistake you made and how it helped you? the great I ever made this year is not in the class but as the whole year. I was not involved a lot all the times I could have done I didn't. This mistake has shown me that next year will be an opportunity for m

Universe

Ever wonder why things are the way they are? Like why do things fall? To how did I think of the previous question? Well, this and ever question fall in my topic of my quest to understand the universe and its chemistry and physics. To uncover these things I have done three things to improve my knowledge of the concept. I have watched documentaries, listened to podcasts, and read books. Over the course of 10 years, I have watched dozens of documentaries. Some have been on wars, music, planets, bees, light, plants, animals, and rocks, just to name a few. Watching hours of these videos have really helped me get a visual understanding of what's happening in our everyday lives. Documentaries to me are a must watch thing. If I want to learn something interesting or for school I go home and look up documentaries on the theme. Thus marking the importance of documentaries to me. I work in the fields on my days off school be it weekends or vacations. Saying this might mean that I do have

Ignite day

What did I learn today? Well today my fellow classmates had a presentation about their big question. They explained it and how they are working on answering the question. I got a minute so look inside there minds and see what they are willing to learn about and what they are curious about. About emotions to science and everything in between.

Books!

Well this spring break I had a lot of listening time during my job. So I took that opportunity to listen to audio books, because why not. I ended up listening to three great pieces of work: The Epic of Gilgamesh, Donte's Inferno, and Hamlet prince of Denmark. I recommend each and every one of them. The Epic of Gilgamesh is a great and ancient story. It's a story of a king that faces an adventure of strength. Donte's Inferno is truly the visual representation of hell. Donte guided by Virgil the the nine levels of hell. The man is shown a horrific and melancholy life in hell of sinners. Hamlet prince of Denmark one of Shakespeare's greatest works. A man controlled by vengeance is driven to commit shocking acts. I truly advise you to read them.

What!! Free tuition

New York, for becoming the first state to offer tuition-free four-year college! No way, I wish I can live in New York for this massive opportunity. California should here by take this into consideration. Many of us are having a nightmare with applying for scholarships and grants and hearing this is wonderful new. I say this because this could start a new era of education.

writting

Analysis Bradbury’s language especially his figure of speech and syntax, to Coney how Montag’s inner world differed from the world around him.                 Every day we live our lives, where we think everything revolves around ourselves. Expelling the outside world from our personal bubble. We think and do as we please in our own universe. The book Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury is a great example of the way an author uses different methods of separating the inner world of a character from the outer world. We can see the difference in the syntax involved in the book.                   Bradbury in his book uses different syntax to explain the world in his book. For example, when he is tending his wife during her overdose a sudden introduction of airplanes overhead are expressed. The word he chooses to tell the things that are happening to Montag in long and rich sentences. When it came to the outside he uses short and abrupt sentences. By doing this Bradbury tells the audience that

F451 ch. 1

I. Let's see in Montag's world people don't truly wake around. In reality in our world, many don't either. But it is not odd to see people in the streets. In F451 the people in that society are expected to be at home. Another thing is Montag's job he is starting a fire. This in our society is arson. It is almost taboo, yet it is not in his world he is sent to start fires and not stop them.   II.Clarisse, she is an abnormal person in her society. I say this because she is doing and asking weird questions to a normal man. first is the way she introduced herself. she explicitly said she was crazy because her father told her what to say. Clarisse is also telling outrages things to Montag about firemen. III.Well, I think that we can say that they are suspicious of Montag. They thing he is doing fishy, like storing books.

Prufrock Impression

This poem was very deep in meaning in the way some of us can relate to it. Whether or not to do something in the name of love is something rhetorical. Is it right to take a risk on something even tho we all die. Knowing that we could've done something or live with regrets. We are afraid of he outcome, thinking of the worst scene possible .

A day without immigrants

This cause is to raise awareness of the minority's of the immigrant community. There are two major reasons why I participated in this cause. The reasons might not be much, but I feel that they justify my actions. My first reason is that of self reliance on my own personal as an individual. I wish to be part of a big thing not just in this country, but the world. Just like Rosa Parks refused to give her seat for a society separated by skin color and unethical mentality. We today are judged by the our birth or cultural backgrounds. This idea is absurd to a point where it's time to get over our fear of your own species. Who else is going to help if not our own species( human) . My second reason is my family. Every day I wake up to see my family. We might not be a perfect one, nevertheless. I love them. They are indispensable and irreplaceable to me. This cause gave them a chance to show their importance in the community. They aren't ghost or enigma or anything like that. They

Remix poem

What is good and evil? Is it known to us by nature or by mind. Living in the same world Feeding one another endlessly. Is it almost primeval humans in this world are bind. changing their ideas about the world, like the literature masters about novels. every new generation of writers is started by a man that is bold. like King and Melville were warriors of expressing there self's proficiently. altering the minds of ignorant people to do whats right the end.

Chapter 2 Gatsby

The Great Gatsby notes 1

Everything is a remix

Well after seeing the video, I was surprised, because many of the examples he gave, I've seen. Without knowing what it was. I was amazed by his ideas of remixes. He is right that everything is a remix, the way he connects everything is great. He uses things that the crowd can relate to and make them laugh and such. But his idea were not that bad, well from my point of view.
