What do you think Hawthorne's purpose was for writing this story? It was to tell readers how easily it is to change a persons point of view. Hawthorne states that Brown's wife is "aptly named" Faith. After reading the story, do you agree? Does Faith's name fit her personality? Does Brown have true faith in her? Faith is the good girl in the story. Goodman Brown only hope was that faith was a sin free person. He was clinging on her when tested on his beliefs. But then that view is shattered in his face. What do you think the pink ribbons signify? I happen to believe that the ribbon is a symbol for purity and i read that the color pink is related to innocence, due to its similarity to white. Was everything Brown witnessed real, a figment of his imagination, something conjured by evil, or a dream? Support your answer with passages from the text. I think it's all too real. Analysis Bradbury’s language especially his figure of speech and syntax, to Coney how Montag’s inner world differed from the world around him. Every day we live our lives, where we think everything revolves around ourselves. Expelling the outside world from our personal bubble. We think and do as we please in our own universe. The book Fahrenheit 451 by Bradbury is a great example of the way an author uses different methods of separating the inner world of a character from the outer world. We can see the difference in the syntax involved in the book. Bradbury in his book uses different syntax to explain the world in his book. Well this spring break I had a lot of listening time during my job. So I took that opportunity to listen to audio books, because why not. I ended up listening to three great pieces of work: The Epic of Gilgamesh, Donte's Inferno, and Hamlet prince of Denmark. I recommend each and every one of them. The Epic of Gilgamesh is a great and ancient story. It's a story of a king that faces an adventure of strength. Donte's Inferno is truly the visual representation of hell. Donte guided by Virgil the the nine levels of hell. The man is shown a horrific and melancholy life in hell of sinners. Hamlet prince of Denmark one of Shakespeare's greatest works. A man controlled by vengeance is driven to commit shocking acts. I truly advise you to read them.
